can't forget about thid '89 (nightfall of diamonds)

winterland '74 is much more suitable for a lazy sunday though.

the sound mix on the official release is unlike any GD mix i've ever heard. for some reason i really like it though.

also, do i have to have a dram, or will a dogfish head 90 min ipa suffice?

Whatever floats your boat brother.

I usually have my "dram"(Chivas neat) with a beer back and today it happens to be a Heineken

That's one of the most delicious october fest beers I've ever had. I always go to a specialty liquor store to pick up some Ayinger, along with some Arrogant Bastard Ale (my #1 favorite beer).

I'll be having some Dogfish Head Pumpkin Ale for this lovely October weather.

I love October! Pumpkin flavored everything! yum

I'm not familiar with that one Jubal. It may not be available here in Backwoods, VA.

Merchant Du Vin is the US distributor. They sell it here:

Kroger

VIRGINIA WINE WAREHOUSE

As far as I can tell it's these are the closest places to your neck of the woods.

My wife already thinks I'm an alcoholic. If I start driving 3 to 5 hours round trip to buy a specific beer, I'd have to agree with her. now if I'm ever somewhere it is available, I'll be sure to try it.

Hah, I've always rationalized it by considering myself a connoisseur rather than an alcoholic. But good luck telling the wife that.

I've always been a big beer drinker, but I don't fit any of the textbook definitions of an alcoholic by any means.

I don't fit "the profile" either. But, like you said, "But good luck telling the wife that."

ah the smoky goodness of rauchier

I enjoy one on ocassion, but actually prefer a good schwarzbier..the "new" one from Giunness is pretty good not to have originated in the "fatherland"

I make a damned fine Rauchbock made with 54% Weyermann smoked malt in my home-brewing endeavors.

I'll bet it's pretty good too!

I only recently discovered this type of beer and I am enjoying it quite a bit!
